Color Your Car According to Your Kua

Begin by referring to the table below for your personal kua number. Look for your birth year in the first column, which lists out the birth years for those born after February 3rd. In the second column are the kua numbers for males. The kua numbers for females are in the third column.

NOTE: Those who were born before February 4th should refer to the previous birth year to get their personal kua numbers.

Birth Year ----------------------------------------------- Kua # Kua #
(after February 4th) ------------------------------------- (male) (female)
1934, 1943, 1952, 1961, 1970, 1979, 1988, 1997, 2006 ------3----- - 3
1935, 1944, 1953, 1962, 1971, 1980, 1989, 1998, 2007 ------2 ------ 4
1936, 1945, 1954, 1963, 1972, 1981, 1990, 1999, 2008 ----- 1------- 5
1937, 1946, 1955, 1964, 1973, 1982, 1991, 2000, 2009 -----9 -------6
1938, 1947, 1956, 1965, 1974, 1983, 1992, 2001, 2010----- 8------- 7
1939, 1948, 1957, 1966, 1975, 1984, 1993, 2002, 2011 -----7 -------8
1940, 1949, 1958, 1967, 1976, 1985, 1994, 2003, 2012----- 6------- 9
1941, 1950, 1959, 1968, 1977, 1986, 1995, 2004, 2013 -----5------- 1
1942, 1951, 1960, 1969, 1978, 1987, 1996, 2005, 2014----- 4 -------2

Next, check your personal kua number against this table for your personal element and its representative colors. It is generally more beneficial for you to select a color that supports your personal element.

As a rule, if the color of your car reinforces your personal kua element, it will help to bring you overall good luck. So, if your kua number is 1, then a midnight blue exterior with black leather interior would be an excellent choice for you.

Kua --Element ----Color
1 -----Water------Blue, Black
2 -----Earth ------Yellow, Brown
3 -----Wood-------Deep Green
4 -----Wood-------Light Green
5 -----Earth-------Yellow, Brown
6 -----Metal-------White, Gold, Silver
7 -----Metal-------White, Gold, Silver
8 -----Earth-------Yellow, Brown
9 -----Fire --------Red, Orange, Pink

Those who would like to fine-tune their personal feng shui can select colors that better suit their individual needs. If you use your car to ferry your kids to school or your spouse to work - activities centred on your family - it is more favorable to select a color which boosts your Nien Yen element. Thus, if your kua number is 2, a white exterior with a grey interior would be great. And if your kua number is 3, and you want more money and career luck, tornado red is an auspicious color for your car.

Kua #- Sheng Chi----------- Tien Yi--------------- Nien Yen-------------- Fu Wei
-------(Money & Success)-- (Health & Mentors)-- (Love & Family)--- (Personal Development)
1------ Light Green-------- Deep Green---------- Red, Orange, Pink----- Blue, Black
2 ------Yellow, Brown------ White, Gold, Silver--- White, Gold, Silver-----Yellow, Brown
3 ------Red, Orange, Pink-- Blue, Black----------- Light Green------------Deep Green
4 ------Blue, Black--------- Red, Orange, Pink-----Deep Green------------ Light Green
5 ------Yellow, Brown------White, Gold, Silver---- White, Gold, Silver-----Yellow, Brown
6 ------White, Gold, Silver--Yellow, Brown-------- Yellow, Brown--------- White, Gold, Silver
7 ------White, Gold, Silver--Yellow, Brown-------- Yellow, Brown--------- White, Gold, Silver
8 ------Yellow, Brown------White, Gold, Silver---- White, Gold, Silver----- Yellow, Brown
9 ------Deep Green---------Light Green---------- Blue, Black------------- Red, Orange, Pink

Surveys of consumer preferences in leading automotive markets showed that more than one third (35% - 40%) chose silver (or metallic grey) as the color for their personal vehicles.

Silver had been gaining popularity in leaps and bounds, having displaced white as the fastest-selling car color since 2000.White (and its pearlescent variations), which has been the perennial favourite across all vehicle categories, continues to be one of the most popular car colors (25%-30%).

Gold has also moved into the top 10 popular car colors, garnering 10%-15% of consumers' votes.
White, grey, silver, gold… these colors account for 70%-80% of total cars sold in the past few years. Just take a look at the shiny new cars on the road today; it would appear that every other car you set eyes on was either silver or white.

Hmm… surely it cannot be mere coincidence that these also happen to be the colors of the metal element. More so, now that we are in the period of 7, which is of metallic element.

Automotive marketing experts say that customers' technological orientations coupled with advances in coatings technology have contributed to the global popularity of silver - not only in the automotive industry but also in home interior, fashion and architectural design as well.

From a feng shui point of view, technological advances along with the preference for metallic colors appear to be reflective of the properties of the period of 7. Although this trend appears to be going strong, we should bear in mind that year 2003 is at the tail-end of the period of 7, and the period of 8 is just around the corner.

This changeover to the period of 8, which is of earth element, is expected to bring about various transformations in energies around us. But, would it bring about any significant changes in consumer preferences? Well, let's wait and see.

Using Moon Magic to get you a Husband

How many women do you know who are single, eligible and attractive, yet cannot find themselves a partner, or if they have one, cannot get their partner to propose. Are you one of them? In today's world, there are numerous obstacles to getting hitched. Career-oriented individuals don't find enough time to date, men are happy to stay bachelors, Hollywood stars are legitimising single parent families…

But deep down inside, many of us still cherish the ideal of a happy marriage and a happy family. How can you achieve that and how can feng shui help?

You can try a spot of Moon Magic. The energies of the moon are very powerful. In the old days, Taoist alchemists regularly used a small mirror to reflect the light of the moon while sitting in meditation, energizing their small mirrors into powerful tools. You too can use moon energy to gain happiness and this article will show you how.

The Ritual

First you need a small and perfectly round mirror. The circular shape is vital, as it represents the shape of heaven. There should be no sharp angles to the mirror, as these symbolize obstacles and difficulties. The round shape will bring smoothness and happiness in the relationship.

The mirror should also be golden (or at least silver) in color, and it is even better if the mirror is decorated with auspicious symbols of love and good fortune. Lucky symbols to have are the five bats (which indicate luck from the five directions and protection), the double happiness symbol (which signifies a long and lasting marriage) or any one of the eight auspicious objects.

Once you have yourself such a mirror, choose a night when the moon is clear and bright. Moon energy is most powerful when there is a full moon (you can find dates with a full moon by checking with a Chinese calendar or almanac). Be sure that the skies are free of clouds, which allows the moon to be reflected clearly into your mirror.

Hold your mirror out and shine it directly at the moon. Leave your mirror out on a wall or table to absorb the moon energy for at least three hours. Once you feel sufficient moon energy has been captured in your mirror, return your mirror into a small pouch made of silk or brocade.

You should not let anyone but yourself touch your personal magic mirror, as this can obscure the energies of the mirror with other people's energies.

When you have energized your mirror, for the next 15 nights, stand with the moon behind you such that both the moon and your face are reflected in the mirror. You will absorb the radiance and beauty of the moon and the mirror will be filled with your own personal energy.

Once the above is done, wait for the next full moon. This time, repeat the ritual but this time focus your thoughts on the kind of husband or partner you want to seek. If you already have someone in mind, visualize the person and send a silent message to the God of Marriage and let him send the magical moon glow into your mirror.

Your mirror is now ready for use. The next time you meet up with your chosen partner, or when you spot someone you wish for as your partner, position the mirror to let it reflect the face of that person. It is not necessary to expose him to your mirror more than once. Also, be sure you are certain of your feelings before using this ritual, as it is very powerful and can lead to unwanted attention if you yourself are not ready for a serious commitment.

Remember also, do not use this spell frivolously, as if you do, its magic is diminished. It is only when your deliberation is dedicated and strong that moon magic lends an effective helping hand.

12 Ways To Clear Negative Chi That Affects Relationships

Everyone can develop greater sensitivity to energy, the divinely charged spirit that gives life to us and to our homes. When a home’s life force is dominated by vibrant yang energy, the mood of its inhabitants tends to be positive and happy. Over time, the energy of any home grows stale and tired. So we need to revitalize and remove chi that becomes stale. Here are some good ways to clear negative chi that can adversely affect your relationships.

1. Watch out for the Quarrelsome Flying Star

Check the monthly flying stars on a regular basis. When the quarrelsome #3 star flies into your bedroom, it is bound to affect your relationship with other family members. This is particularly severe when it flies into a marital bedroom; this is when spouses really get at each other’s throats. When the #3 star pays a visit, place a red triangle crystal as a cure to suppress its negative effects.

2. Clear Negative Energy from your Sleeping Space

Expose your mattress and pillow to bright sunshine. At least once a month, light fragrant incense and walk around your bed clockwise to remove any lingering negativity around your sleeping space.

3. Clear Clutter from Around Your Bed

Never place old clothes, books, albums, files or personal memorabilia under a bed. If your bedside table starts piling up with books and other kinds of junk, spend some time each month to sort through and put things back where they belong.

4. Purify Your Bed Space

Use saffron water to cleanse the space your bed occupies. Sprinkle the saffron water as you walk three times around the bed in a clockwise direction. Saffron is very powerful substance of purifying space. Do this cleansing ritual once a month.

5. Protect your Relationship

Never have a body of water to the left of a bedroom door (when you are looking from the inside facing out).
Never have water inside your home directly facing the front door.
Never have mirrors reflecting the marriage bed.
Never have two separate mattresses concealed under a large bed sheet.
Never have water inside your bedroom.

6. Moon activated water

Place an urn of water in sight of the full moon to obtain moon-activated water. Then, use it immediately the next day either to cleanse your bedroom or mix with your bath water and add 7 types of flowers that include the five element colours. This will bring romance back into the marriage.

7. Activate the SW to Improve Relations Between Husband And Wife

Activate the SW corner of your bedroom. The element of SW is earth, so the presence of beautiful natural crystals and mountain energy will benefit the couple.

8. Balancing Yin and Yang

When air is especially dry or polluted, spray the air with water droplets to restore balance. The yin and yang balance of air in the home exerts tremendous influence on the prevailing mood of family members

9. Energizing the Southwest with yellow

Paint the SW wall a yellow color. This part of your bedroom should not be too cluttered. Keep this area free of unwanted junk and once a week, spend a few moments clearing away whatever has built up here.

10. Empower the SW with bright light

Place a light in the SW to lift up tired chi, revitalizing it instantly.

11. Clear negativity by visualizing rivers of light

Stand outside your house. Close your eyes and imagine the sun as a throbbing ball of powerful nourishing white energy sending out a river of light from the sky, moving slowly and benevolently into your home and bedroom

Is Coffee Healthy ?

Considering all the past concern about possible health risks from drinking coffee, newer reports of coffee’s possible protective effects may leave many people confused.

Overall, recent studies suggest that coffee (regular and decaffeinated) may offer a variety of health benefits against diseases such as cancer and diabetes. However, coffee may not deserve a place in the same category with other healthful foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

Laboratory studies suggest that the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant compounds in coffee could help reduce risk of cancer. Coffee also has a tendency to speed the passage of waste through the digestive tract. Potentially, this may lessen the time that cancer-causing compounds spend in contact with the intestinal tract, which could reduce the risk of colon cancer. Population studies, however, tend to split between coffee intake having no effect on or reducing risk of breast and colon cancer.

Diabetes Prevention
The case for coffee’s ability to protect against diabetes is strengthened by several recent studies. In the Iowa Women’s Health Study, more than 28,000 women were followed for 11 years. The women who drank four or more cups of coffee daily were about 20 percent less likely to develop diabetes. That became a 30 to 40 percent drop among those who drank decaf coffee.

A study in Finland linked consumption of three to six cups of coffee per day with a 25 percent lower risk of diabetes. In both studies, benefits were seen after adjusting for other diabetes risks, such as weight, diet, and activity level. Several studies now link moderate coffee consumption with lower risk of Type 2 diabetes. Researchers are working to understand the potential advantage of decaf versus regular coffee and how weight control is involved.

Potential increased risk of high blood pressure and heart disease has been one of the long-standing concerns about coffee. Recent studies confirm that caffeine can raise blood pressure, but this effect is observed with soft drinks, not coffee. Laboratory studies suggest that perhaps coffee’s healthful compounds can counterbalance the blood-pressure raising effects of caffeine.

In the Iowa Women’s Health Study noted above, four to five cups of coffee a day were linked with a 19 percent lower risk of heart-related death. Other studies have found no effect of coffee consumption on heart disease risk. But people should follow their doctor’s advice.

Coffee does warrant some cautions, however. Both regular and decaf coffee relax the muscle that keeps stomach acids from rising into the throat, so those with heartburn or reflux disease (GERD) are encouraged to avoid or strictly limit coffee. People with trouble sleeping should limit or avoid caffeinated coffee.

Studies now suggest it is unnecessary for pregnant women to completely avoid caffeinated coffee. Until the impact of caffeine is more clearly understood, however, many experts suggest that pregnant women limit their daily caffeine from coffee, soft drinks and other sources to about 300 mg, the equivalent of three cups of regular coffee.

It’s exciting that something as simple as drinking coffee might help lower our risk of cancer, diabetes and heart disease. However, while brewed coffee (not instant) is a concentrated source of antioxidants, it can’t be a substitute for berries, legumes, nuts, and other fruits and vegetables that provide antioxidants along with a wide range of vitamins, protective compounds and dietary fiber.

Think twice before you Judge others!

One night there was a woman at the airport who had to wait for several hours before catching her next flight. While she waited she bought a book and a pack of biscuits to spend the time. She looked for a place to sit and waited.

She was deep into her book, when suddenly she realised that there was a young man sitting next to her who was stretching his hand, with no concern whatsoever, and grabbing the pack of cookies lying between them. He started to eat them one by one.

Not wanting to make a fuss about it she decided to ignore him. The woman, slightly bothered, ate the cookies and watched the clock, while the young and shameless thief of biscuits was also finishing them. The woman started to get really angry at this point and thought 'If I wasn't such a good and educated person, would have given this daring man a black eye by now.

'Every time she ate a biscuit, he had one too. The dialogue between their eyes continued and when only one biscuit was left, she wondered what was he going to do. Softly and with a nervous smile, the young man grabbed the last biscuit and broke it in two. He offered one half to the woman while he ate the other half.

Briskly she took the biscuit and thought, 'What an insolent man! How uneducated! He didn't even thank me!' She had never met anybody so fresh and sighed relieved to hear her flight announced. She grabbed her bags and went towards the boarding gate refusing to look back to where that insolent thief was seated.

After boarding the plane and nicely seated, she looked for her book which was nearly finished by now. While looking into her bag she was totally surprised to find her pack of biscuits nearly intact. 'If my biscuits are here', she thought feeling terribly, 'those others were his and he tried to share them with me.' Too late to apologise to the young man, she realised with pain, that it was she who had been insolent, uneducated and a thief, and not him.

How many times in our lives, had we known with certainty that something happened in a certain way, only to discover later that it wasn't true?

How many times has our lack of trust within us made us judge other people unfairly with our conceited ideas, often far away from reality.

"THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO THINK TWICE BEFORE WE JUDGE OTHERS"..
